History of DTV Consultants

DTV Consultants was established in 1987, under the name ‘Dienstencentrum voor Toerisme en Verkeer’ (service centre for tourism and traffic), an institution of the NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences. Since 1989, NHTV teachers, researchers and consultants have been recruited to carry out activities for the institution. In 1992, its name changed to DTV Consultants. After a period of reorganisation, the organisation experienced gradual growth.

As from 1999, DTV Consultants focused more and more on international projects. In the fall of 2001, DTV Consultants entered a new stage, resulting in DTV Consultants becoming a fully independent company that moved into a separate office building outside the NHTV. Therefore, the relationship with NHTV turned into a co-operative one.

DTV Consultants has been structured into five teams: Research and Mobility, Realisation and Management, Policy and Design, Communication and Education, and General Affairs. By 2007, DTV Consultants has built up 20 years of knowledge and expertise in the field of traffic and transport, and the company is the base of a staff of around 40 professionals.
